Mansfield Town Draw Fellow League Two Side Wrexham In The First Round Of The Emirates FA Cup

It’s an all-League Two tie for the Stags in Round One of this season’s Emirates FA Cup as they will welcome Wrexham to the One Call Stadium.

The draw for the First Round of the competition was completed as 80 teams are set to battle it out for a place in the Second Round of the oldest national football competition in the world.

In one of only three all-League Two ties, Mansfield Town will face newly-promoted Wrexham in the First Round of the FA Cup as the Dragons look to replicate their fantastic run from last season that saw them reach the Fourth Round.

Stags, who are unbeaten in 17 games in all competitions, will look to kickstart their FA Cup and go deep in another cup competition showing their prowess in the league and in cup competitions this season.

The amber and blues will take on Port Vale in the Round of 16 of the Carabao Cup in midweek before turning their attention to the FA Cup weekend and the First Round tie against Wrexham.

The two sides’ first meeting in the league is now a distant memory as they were unable to find the back of the net in a goalless draw at the One Call Stadium at the start of October.

In terms of the FA Cup, the Stags are unbeaten against the Dragons and have always progressed onto the next round when facing the Welsh-based side.

With the two sides in fantastic form in the league and flying high in the League Two table, this tie could be chosen for TV selection and could be the Stags’ second televised game following their 4-1 hammering of Notts County last weekend.
