UEFA EURO 2024: Scotland Are Off To Germany After Norway’s Loss To Spain

After being placed in what a lot of people would have considered to be a difficult group, Scotland have defied all expectations after an incredible run of form.

They are currently level on points with Spain and are only behind them on goal difference. Norway are five points behind Scotland and Spain with only one game remaining so it is now impossible for them to qualify.

This is the first time that Scotland have qualified automatically for a major tournament since 1998 and Steve Clarke has secured his spot in the Scottish history books by becoming the first Scottish manager to lead Scotland to consecutive European Championships.

Former Scotland striker Steven Thompson said: “I’m so pleased for the new generation of Scotland fans who haven’t experienced the feeling of watching their team at a major men’s tournament, now they’ll get to do it for a second time in quick succession.”
