Norwich City: Jose Cordoba set to sign as defender denies Rangers.

Norwich City look set to sign 23-year-old Panamanian defender Jose Cordoba from Bulgarian side Levski Sofia, with reports claiming that the defender has rejected Scottish giants Rangers in pursuit of the Premier League.

After what felt like an F1 transfer silly season, a deal appears to have been struck between the Canaries and Cordoba, with the defender set to become the first signing of new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup’s tenure at the club.

The young defender has earnt 12 caps for his country so far across his professional career, with Cordoba moving to Levski Sofia on a permanent after a loan spell from Celta Vigo, after never managing to break through into the first team squad.
