Manchester City Still Pushing To Sign Lucas Paqueta

Manchester City remain in talks with West ham United over the signing of Lucas Paqueta, seeing their initial bid of £70M rejected by West Ham United.

West Ham are hoping to keep the Brazilian, but he would like to leave and join the Premier League Champions.

They will not sell the player unless an offer in the region £85m is placed on the table by City.

Including players within the deal is also an option that is being discussed by both clubs.

Paqueta played 41 times for West ham last season, scoring five times and providing seven assists.

The Brazilian international had a slow start to the season but found his form towards the end, where he ended up being an important part of West Ham’s Europa Conference League success.

He has four years left on his contract with the option of a further year.

The Brazilian does have an £85M release clause in his contract. However, this does not come into play until next summer.
