Lazio interested in Hugo Lloris

Lazio are in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over the transfer of Hugo Lloris.

A two-year deal is set to be agreed according to La Gazzetta dello Sport

The 36-year-old goalkeeper has been made available for a transfer by Tottenham as he has just one year left on his contract.

Lloris is no longer required as the number one goalkeeper after the recent signing of Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli.

He has additionally been succeeded as club captain by Heung-min Son, with James Maddison and Cristian Romero named as vice captains.

The World Cup winner confirmed at the end of last season that he would like a fresh challenge after spending eleven seasons at Spurs.

Lloris was left out of the matchday squad for Spurs’ opening Premier League fixture against Brentford, with academy prospect Brandon Austin providing cover on the bench.

He spent eleven years at Tottenham, making 447 appearances and keeping 151 clean sheets as well as leading them to three finals, including the Champions League final in 2019.
