Jarrod Bowen runs the show as West Ham beat Brentford

West Ham 4 – 2 Brentford

Jarrod Bowen stole the show, netting a hat trick against Brentford to give West Ham a much needed win in the Premier League.

West Ham stormed out the gates, with Jarrod Bowen smashing home two in the 5th and 7th.

Emerson Royal sealed the deal with a screamer from 25 yards, straight into the top right hand corner.

Bowen caught the ball brilliantly for his first, putting it bottom corner with the outside of his boot. Bowens second was just as smooth, converting a drilled cross from Coufal.

Neil Maupay didn’t take long to respond, scoring in the 13th to dent West Hams strong opening, blasting it into the top right from a Lewis-Potter threaded pass.

Wissa earned a conciliation for Brentford, placing the past Areola to ease the embarrassment.

Brentford had appeals for a penalty 2-0 down, after Emerson Royal brought down Sergio Reguilon in the box, but the ref saw no wrong doing.

Maupay and West Ham coach Kevin Nolan got into a heated exchange after the Hammers coach took issue with Maupay waiting outside the referees changing room during half-time, presumably to talk about the penalty appeal earlier in the game.
