Solly March: Premier League Matchday Three Player To Watch

Solly March has kicked off the season in red-hot form, netting three goals in two appearances.

Under the guidance of manager Roberto De Zerbi, the Brighton & Hove Albion winger has become a key player for this Seagulls side.

Last season marked his best yet with 16 goal contributions in 39 appearances.

This Saturday, Brighton face West Ham at the Amex Stadium. The Seagulls boast an impressive record of six wins and six draws in 12 encounters against the Hammers. However, March has yet to find the net against the Hammers.

Impressively, the Englishman has already outscored five of his previous six Premier League seasons, averaging a goal every 55 minutes.

This season, De Zerbi has challenged the winger to score 15 goals. After his brace against Wolves, March commented, “It’s still a long way to go, but it’s been a good start.”

March has shown remarkable liveliness inside the opposition’s box with his late bursting runs at the back post amplifying his overall goal-scoring threat.

According to WhoScored.com, March holds the highest player rating since the World Cup with an impressive 7.82 rating. He ranks above players such as Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka, Harry Kane and Kevin De Bruyne.

Brighton have scored the most goals in the Premier League this season (eight) as a result of the free-flowing attacking football De Zerbi has implemented.

On the contrary, West Ham manager David Moyes is known for his pragmatism, a style that should not be overlooked. This approach brought the Hammers European glory as they clinched victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.

West Ham will be in high spirits following their 10-men 3-1 win against Chelsea, however, Solly March will hope to be the difference-maker and continue his exceptional goal-scoring form.
